  • Our Vision

At Books n Boots, we aim to deliver services that support good health, wellbeing, and the happiness of First Nations children across Australia. We strive to level inequalities in health and education through our programs; the Tiny Treasures project, one on one tutoring, and early intervention cultural programs.

Our vision is to Close the Gap, together with First Nations people and their community, as we strongly believe in Self Determination. As an organisation we are guided by foundational principles of Partnership, Collaboration, and Environmental Sustainability, and take a bottom-up, grassroots approach to address disadvantage.

    What makes us grassroots?

Each book delivery is tailored to meet the needs of the community

We consult with First Nation's communities around their needs

Our Board of Directors are active on the ground; picking up book donations, speaking to community members, and open to listening and learning.

We value the wisdom, resilience, and resources of the communities we service and seek their knowledge in our planning and operations

We seek to impact a national issue and crisis at a local level.

    Self Determination

  • What we get up to

Books n Boots would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work, and learn. We would like to pay respect to elders past, present, and emerging and recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded.

It always was and always will be Aboriginal land
